International Air and Military show in Hungary
As the major event of the Hungarian MoD, the International Air and Military show will take place once again on the 7th and 8th August 2010 in Kecskemét.
Over the years, this program has become one of the five biggest European air shows and the most exciting visited air show in Central Europe. The participants will not only commemorate a century of Hungarian military aviation, but a century of Hungarian powered aviation as well, thus increasing the prestige of the event. The world-famous Frecce Tricolori of the Italian Air Force display team will also be celebrating their 50th anniversary in Kecskemét.
Out of the 28 invited countries, 20 countries have confirmed their participation in the event. Besides the “air show display team stars”, the Frecce Tricolori, the Turkish Stars, the Swiss Patrouille Suisse (who have never yet flown in Hungary), the Croatian Wings of Storm, and the Breitling Team, visitors will also be able to see representatives of the Austrian, Belgian,Czech, French, Dutch, Croatian, German, Romanian, Slovak, Swiss, Spanish, Serbian, Turkish, US, Ukrainian, Israeli Air Force and the equipment of the host country´s, Hungary´s military aircraft. Fans of aviation will see the world-elite Su-27 for the first time in Kecskemét. Moreover, the already seen, but still interesting Eurofighter, Rafale, F-6, F/A-18, F-15, JAS-39 Gripen fighters, world-famous helicopters, and the star of the previous air show, the C-17, a large military transport aircraft, will all be there.
Besides several military displays, both the national and international civil aviation program will be present. The registration is still open and the organizers expect additional invited countries to confirm their participation. The two days not only offer the ground and air arsenal of aviation, but display most of the Hungarian Armed Force's hardware. Knowing the number, the great variety of the participating countries and the many arriving aircraft types, visitors in August will see an all-day, spectacular and special air show, complemented with various family programs. The preparation for the air show has begun; tickets are available from 23rd April 2010 and onwards on the Ticketpro network. www.ticketpro.hu, www.ticketpro.cz, www.eticketpro.sk, www.ticketpro.bg, www.ticketpro.hr.
